Clúid’s Board of Directors comprises members with diverse business and professional interests, who bring an external perspective to Clúid, and are strongly committed to our vision and mission. The Board ensures that Clúid is properly managed and achieves its agreed strategic objectives, and continually evaluates and monitors Clúid’s performance.
David is a Programme Manager with Pobal. He has over twenty years’ experience in the housing and homelessness sectors. Previously, he held a number of senior roles with Focus Ireland and was a Board Member of the Irish Council for Social Housing and the Disability Federation of Ireland. David holds a number of post-graduate qualifications in housing.
Fiona is Director of Innovation & Business Development at the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland. Previously, she was Chief Executive of the Irish Property & Facility Manager’s Association. She holds an MBA from UCD Smurfit Business School. Fiona sold her own successful retail business in 2006. Fiona has extensive experience in management and development in the property support industry.
Orla is the Chief Executive of Mental Health Ireland, the federation of local Mental Health Associations. Previously, she was Director of Mental Health Reform; Director of Services with Focus Ireland; and Head Occupational Therapist with the Eastern Health Board mental health services. Orla holds an M.Sc. in Systemic Organisation and Management.
Noel is a Chartered Accountant and is Head of Transport Governance at the National Transport Authority. Previously, he worked with the Railway Procurement Agency; ECCU Assurance Company Limited; Mercer; and with PWC. Noel is a former Chairman and Director of the Retirement Planning Council of Ireland and is a member of the Institute of Directors.
Michael founded the property development and asset management company Cleary McCabe & Associates in 1997. He is a member of the Institute of Directors in Ireland. Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Planning & Development Economics from Dublin Institute of Technology and is a fellow of the Society of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
Peter is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He has extensive general management and financial management experience. Peter previously served on the board of various public and private companies including AT&T and Diageo.
Derek is a Civil Engineer and has a wide range of business interests including farming and forestry. He is Chair of Extern Group, an all-Ireland charity which helps to improve the lives of adults and children facing challenging circumstances. Derek has played an active role in creating successful community businesses.
Avril is a Human Resource professional and spent 15 years as HR Director of Hewlett Packard with responsibility for Irish and International business units. Previously, she held various roles in An Post including Communications Manager, Training Manager and finally Head of Employee Relations. She is a Fellow of CIPD and was named one of Ireland’s top 25 most powerful women.
Andrew is a solicitor and is currently Chief Legal Officer of the National Treasury Management Agency. Previously, he was Head of Legal at ESB and Chief Legal Officer of Ervia. Andrew has worked as a corporate lawyer with Davis Polk & Wardwell. He is a graduate of both NUI Galway and Yale Law School.
Jennifer is an Independent Consultant currently working with PWC. She is recognised for business model advisory, strategy formulation, governance and change programme execution. Previously, she worked with AIB’s Financial Solutions Group and as Head of Investment Planning and Prioritisation and Head of Group Change Management. Jennifer holds an Msc in Management from Trinity College, Dublin.
